Elephants are wild animals that belong in the forest and not in a prison cell. They also live in families and form a close bond with family members. The capture and domestication process splits elephant families and separates baby elephants from their mothers. Claiming to respect and worship Lord Ganesha while abusing and imprisoning elephants which represent Lord Ganesha is insulting to the spirit of Hinduism. It shows up such organizations as hypocritical and incapable of practicing the non-violent principles of Hinduism.
